17 Weeks

Well, I guess it's time for a baby update! I meant to take a picture at 16 weeks so that I would be exactly 4 months, but last week was a little hectic for my family so I wasn't able to. So, here I am at 17 weeks....that is 4 months, 1 week! Can you believe it?!


There is definitely a little bump there now!

How can this pregnancy be going so fast and so slow all at the same time? Sometimes I think, wow in just 3 weeks I will be halfway through! Other times I think, OH MY GOSH, I'm only about halfway through!? Hurry up and get here!

Nonetheless, I'm feeling great right now. I'm over the morning sickness, my appetite is back, my energy is back, and I don't really have any complaints other than feeling some aches and pains every now and then. It's weird, over the last week my legs have been aching so much at night time, so much that it often wakes me up and I can't go back to sleep. I've started sleeping with a few extra pillows under my lower back already... I can't imagine what it will be like in a few months when my belly is gigantic. I've also been having a few other issues and have had to start adding prunes to my diet... YUCK! I STRONGLY DISLIKE PRUNES! haha but its the only thing that is working so I just hold my nose, chew, and swallow.

Ben and I went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago, and everything looked great. We heard the little heartbeat again and it was about 164 bpm. Our next appointment is in just 2 1/2 weeks, and that will be the big ultrasound where we get to find out the gender! I can't wait!

All along I've been thinking boy, but over the last week I've kind of been thinking girl. I'm not sure why. I think its because my face has been breaking out like crazy..it didn't even do this in middle or high school. I guess I'm thinking all the extra girl hormones my body can't handle so its causing the breakouts... guess a boy would do that too. I just don't know haha. But then again, I haven't gained too much weight all over like they say you do with a girl, and according to the morning sickness myths and craving myths, it would be a boy. haha It really is just all up in the air.. I just can't wait to find out so I can start planning and decorating the nursery!!
