4D Ultrasound

Wow it has been a while since I've updated. Well to back track a little, we had our first 4D ultrasound last week. Since Ben was out of town all week, my grandmother came and went to the appointment with me. Unfortunately, Baby Girl would not cooperate. The ultrasound tech told us that she was already head down with her head in the narrow part of my pelvis leaving her very little room to move around. She had her face smooshed up against the placenta and uterine wall and would not look towards us so that we could see her. Luckily, they decided to give me another chance.

The second time around, Ben was able to go with me. I ate a huge breakfast and drank a little caffeine beforehand hoping that would get her moving. Fortunately, it worked! It was the neatest thing ever! As soon as the screen was on, Baby Girl kept yawning over and over. It was so cute! We were able to get some great pictures of her little face, which made us sooo anxious and excited to meet her!


At first Ben and I were both like, "Oh my gosh, what a huge nose!" haha But the tech informed us, that her nose isn't as big as it looks haha. It's just under water and smooshed so it looks bigger than it is. Either way, we think she is beautiful!

She also kept sticking her tongue out over and over. She looked like a little lizard haha. It was cute. Here is a picture of her with her tongue stuck out....

And, of course I had to have the tech check to make sure she is indeed a girl! This picture may be a little inappropriate, but since its just an ultrasound picture and its a baby.. I think its ok. In case you can't tell, its a picture of her bottom with her leg up. She's definitely a girl!!

At our first ultrasound, about 2 weeks ago, the tech measured everything and said she is measuring a week ahead, and weighed about 3.8 pounds! This time, the tech didn't measure everything again but said she probably weighed around 4 pounds. She's gonna be a big girl! We can't wait for her to get here!! Only 8 more weeks... or less!!
