Husband-Less

So, has anybody noticed that my blog posts for the last two weeks have rarely mentioned anything about Ben? Probably not...but if you have, that is becauses he has been gone for an entire TWO weeks!! Yes, that means I have been completely by myself for the whole time. I didn't want to post about it while he was gone because you never know who could come across my blog, and I didn't want to have to worry about someone tracking me down or something. haha I have never lived by myself EVER, and I get kind of scared sometimes.

Anyway, for the last two weeks Ben has been in Mobile for work. That was the longest we have been away from each other since we have been married. It was kind of weird, and I didn't like it. It brought back memories of our relationship when it was long distance...and I hated long distance, although it apparently worked out for us. It just wasn't fun. Anyway, I told Ben that with him being gone, it made me REALLY appreciate even more all of the things he does for me. For example, he usually takes Ellie out in the mornings to go to the bathroom. If its really cold out, he will usually start my car so that by the time I come out the windshield is dethawed and the car is all warmed up. While he was gone, I had to take Ellie out and it was FREEZING..haha I wasn't use to having to stand out there in the morning (Not to mention I had to wake up earlier to allow time for it!) I know what you are thinking...Ben is way too good to me..and I would say, You're right! I am so lucky! Anyway, I also realized how hard it is to figure out meals for just one person. I ate a lot of random meals.. like ramen noodles, grilled cheese, and corn dogs...haha healthy and delicious sounding right? Not exactly my top choice, but I just didn't want to cook anything just for me...it seemed like too much trouble. Also, it sure was quiet around here with him gone. I didn't have anyone to talk to..besides Ellie, and if you know me, I like to talk, so that was rough. haha

Anyway, I wanted to post about something Ben did that was sooooo funny before he left. Leading up to his trip, I kept saying how much I dreaded him leaving. The day came, and we said our goodbyes and he left. Well about 5 minutes later, he came back inside and said he had forgotten something. I just sat on the couch and let him get what he needed, and then he left again. Later that night when I was getting ready for bed, this is what I saw.....

If you can't tell, basically Ben had printed off a huge picture of his face. He taped it to the pillow on his side of the bed, and then stuffed pillows under the blanket. When I saw it, I literally died out laughing. I loved it!! It was so so funny. I actually left it there for the whole two weeks too!! haha He is so goofy! Here is Ellie looking at it... she was so confused.

Anyway, Ben is finally back now and I don't have to be husband-less anymore. I'm so glad his traveling is over for a while..although it kind of feels like he is still out of town. It's 9:00 P.M. right now, and he still isn't home from work. Oh the life of an accountant...why does anybody want to do that job?!
I'll post tomorrow all about my trip to market! As for now, I've got work to do to prepare for tomorrow. Good night everyone!!
