Anyway, it truly was such a BEAUTIFUL day. Ben said he wishes we got a dollar for everytime I said, "This is gorgeous," that day. haha We would be rich! I was just so amazed at how it all looked. We have a lot of trees back behind our apartment and they looked so pretty. Everything was just so white, and so pure. I LOVED it! Here are a lot of pictures to sum up our day. Get ready, because there are a lot.
We dressed Ellie up in her sweater and took her out to enjoy the snow too. She didn't quite know what to think about it. I guess because the snow was about 2-3 inches high and she has pretty short legs, she couldn't run very well in it. She kept prancing around like a rabbit. It was pretty cute. Here is a short video of her running/hopping around in the snow. Of course Ben was "torturing" her by throwing snow on her all the time...haha
Everytime she would see a snowman, she would jump back and start barking at it. She didn't quite understand what they were.
Here is a picture in front of our apartment. Look how smooth the snow was!
And this is how deep it was!!
Ben made a snow angel!
We decided to take a walk down to these trails that are close to our apartment. We thought we were going to be the only "crazy" people walking around down there in such freezing weather. WRONG! There were tons of people out jogging or riding bikes. I couldn't believe it. haha That would be the last thing I would want to do in the snow. Some people were even wearing SHORTS!! crazy people... Maybe one day I'll be that dedicated. Here is a picture of Ben standing on the trail.
Later that evening after the snow had stopped falling, we decided to go back out and enjoy it one last time before it got dark. This is what we saw...
And of course we couldn't miss an opportunity for a family photo!
Ellie had fun running around in the snow, but after a while she was definitely ready to head back in. I think it was just a tad bit too cold for her, and the snow kept clumping to her feet.
She looks pretty miserable in this next picture. She was shivering. I couldn't get the snow to come off of her, so I had to take her straight inside to a warm bath.
