2 Years

Today Ben and I celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary!! It has been a wonderful two years. We aren't doing a whole lot to celebrate today. We did actually take a night trip to Nashville a couple of weeks ago as our anniversary celebration. That was the first time for us to leave Mary Hyatt with a non-family member for a few hours and it was also the first time for us to leave her overnight. She stayed with our good friends Whitney and Brian for a few hours during the day, and then Ben's parents kept her over night. They all said Mary Hyatt did great, but her mama didn't do so well. I cried for about the first hour leaving Decatur, and then every time I saw someone with a baby it made me miss her. Ben and I pretty much talked about her the whole time we were gone. haha

We had a great trip in Nashville though. We shopped around on Saturday and then went to a nice dinner together at Mere Bulles. After dinner, we met up with our good friends Patrick and Amy and hung out with them for the rest of the night. It was so great getting to catch up with them! We sure miss them in Birmingham!

Ben and I slept in really late the next day and then went to eat brunch at the Loveless Cafe. We waited 2 hours to eat there, but we both wanted to try it because it has been there for over 50 years and apparently a lot of the stars go there to eat. They had autographed pictures covering the walls of all the stars that had visited. We thought the food was delicious! Some good southern cookin'! After we ate, we headed back home to pick up our sweet girl. It was a great trip.

Tonight we will probably just celebrate by going out to eat. One of my favorite things to do is to look back through some of our weddinhg pictures to remember how special this day was in 2009 and how lucky I am to have such a loving husband and now father to our precious daughter. I seriously couldn't ask for a better husband or daddy for Mary Hyatt. I am looking forward to many many more years together! Here are a few pictures from our wedding day..
