3 Months Old

So apparently Ellie still thinks she is the baby around here and still wants to be the center of attention. I laughed so hard because as soon as I got the blankets and stuffed animal set up to take Mary Hyatt's 3 month picture, Ellie jumped up there and posed like she was ready for her picture.

haha Everytime I would put her down on the floor, she would jump back up there and lay down. It was pretty funny. I guess she must be feeling a little neglected and is starving for attention. We may or may not have forgotten to give her and Emma food and water a couple of times... and I couldn't tell you the last time Ellie had a bath. Days of the weekly baths are long gone for her...We've been just a tad bit preoccupied!
(Just to clarify, we do feed our dogs and we do still love on them like they are our babies...they just aren't quite as spoiled as they use to be and have to share our attention with their new sister :))

So anyway, Mary Hyatt is 3 months old!!!
She is almost as long as the laundry basket!!

Every month just keeps getting better and better!

I'm not sure how much she weighs right now but my guess would be around 14 pounds maybe? She is wearing mostly 3-6 months size clothes, but can still wear some of her 0-3 months clothes. I've also bought her a few 6 months size clothes for daycare. They are a little big right now but I wanted her to have plenty of room to grow in them so that they would last longer. I've realized that I don't really want her to wear her "good" clothes to day care because they get messy, so we now have our "school" clothes and our "home" clothes.

She is eating about 5 ounces every 3 hours. When she first wakes up in the morning, she actually eats about 7 ounces during the first feeding. From then on, she eats 5 ounces until right before bed when she will eat somewhere between 3-5 ounces.

She has started to learn to control her hands a little bit. She will grab on to things now and pull them to her mouth, though she still has a lot of uncoordinated movements.
We still try to squeeze in a little tummy time every day, though it usually doesn't last long because she's not a big fan of it. She's starting to get pretty good at holding her head up though!
As far as sleeping goes, we are beyond blessed! Mary Hyatt sleeps about 8-9 hours every night. She will usually go to bed between 8:30-9 and sleeps until sometime between 5:30 and 6:00. We have had some nights that she has slept until 7:15 the next morning!
She is generally a pretty happy baby, and doesn't cry a whole lot unless she needs something. People tell us all the time "She seems so calm and laid back. You two don't know how lucky you are." Ben and I really do feel like she is a pretty easy baby.

We have been enjoying seeing lots of these sweet smiles more and more every day! We have even gotten a few chuckles out of her lately!
At 3 months Mary Hyatt still loves her pacifier, loves lying on her back, loves her floor play mat, loves bathtime, loves having lotion rubbed on her, loves music, loves to bounce, loves to be swaddled, and likes going places.

At 3 months Mary Hyatt does not like tummy time, does not like her swing, does not like for me to wash her face or clean her eyes (apparently her tear ducts aren't open yet. Her pediatrician said its really common and she will grow out of it, but for now it makes her eyes water all the time and she will often get green gooey stuff in the corners), and does not like being cold when we get her out of the bathtub.
