Happy 4th of July....

From the beach!! Yes, Ben and I are at the beach again!! We left last night around 6:30 and got here around 11:30. My mom and dad have been here since last Saturday, and my brother and his family along with me and Ben all decided to join them. It is so nice to be away and to have a little rest and relaxation before I start my first day of work! (More on that later...) We really wish that my sister's family and grandparents were here though! Unfortunately Mark (brother-in-law) was on call this weekend so they couldn't leave town. We hope to make it back down again soon when we can all go together. It's more fun when its the whole family!

But as for now, here is a glimpse of our first day at the beach. The weather is BEAUTIFUL, there's no sign of oil, and the waves are GIGANTIC! I'm guessing the tropical storm has caused all of the waves to be much bigger than usual. Everyone has taken full advantage of them and has been riding them into shore all day.

Here is Abby ready for the beach this morning... she is definitely the most stylin' 2 year old I've ever seen!
Upon arrival at the beach, of course I couldn't resist a picture of the two of us!
And this starts the pictures of our wave riding experience...
I love this first one! Ben is having a ball!
Mom just enjoys jumping on the waves haha...
Father/Son time together... they were all crashing into each other constantly!
Abby loved playing in the sand! She hadn't been to the beach since she was 6 months old!

And mom and I enjoyed playing paddle ball.... well sort of. We at least attempted, but we rarely kept it going more than 4 times consecutively! It was still a lot of fun, but we need just a little practice!

As for now, the guys are off to play a round of golf at the resort and the girls are about to head down for some pool time. Because the guys will be playing golf until about 8 ish, we are having a girls night out. We're heading to eat dinner and then to see Le Grand Cirque tonight. It's a version of Cirque du Soleil that they are having down here at the resort all summer. It should be fun!
Hope you are all enjoying your 4th of July weekend! Stay tuned for more posts!
